I have painted and drawn since I was about 8 years old. I have studied with private tutors, art associations, visual art centers, and guilds. In addition, I studied at Rhode Island School of Design, The School of Visual Arts, and Cornell University.
After college, I began to focus on depicting nature scenes that were inspired by my experiences in Jackson Hole, Wyoming; Minnesota; Sarasota, Florida; Costa Rica; Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
Early in my career, I worked in oil paints. Later I branched out and created art using pastels and watercolors. These new media offered me a new challenge without the use of many toxic chemicals found in oil paints require so I could use them in any unventilated room.
In 2013, I moved to Framingham, MA and joined the Newton Art Association along with the Framingham Artists Guild.
My work has been exhibited in Colorado, Connecticut, Wyoming, Montana, New York and Massachusetts.
